Susan Komis, from the national office of Contemplative Outreach Ltd, will be the presenter at the 2009 Contemplative Annual Conference. The topic for the conference will be “The Interior Castle.”  This weekend workshop opportunity provides participants intimate space and time to explore the Seven Mansions of Teresa of Avila’s (1515-1582) “ Interior Castle ” – her final work and perhaps one of the greatest literary works on experiential mysticism/contemplation in Christianity.  Prayer stood at the center of Teresa’s teachings, and she embraced prayer as a means of relationship/companionship with God. She considered a life of prayer in terms of love.  Presentations will be in light of our Centering Prayer practice and contemporary contemplative journey.
