NBHC website. The Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology has many opportunities for birders to participate in collecting information for scientific use. The Birder website has an extensive set of links for ornithology. Lanny Chambers' Hummingbird page has extensive information on these special beauties. The Patuxent Wildlife Research Center of the U.S. Geological Survey has a wealth of information, pictures, sounds, and data. National Audubon Society has a network of local chapters involved in national, regional, and local conservation projects with a focus on bird habitats. Contacting a chapter is also a good way to meet local birders. Visit the web home of the Nivon Birding Group Goor the Netherlands located in Eastern Holland, to learn about the birding and conservation projects that they are involved in.
